I dunno, just faffing about with some new purchases.

I got the Genesis 2 Male morphs about a week ago and I finally got around to making a decent male character. Maybe you guys can help me name him. :)

I have to say that these two are particularly daring characters.

PS DivaMakeup, wish I could help you, but I'm bad at naming =) But if you ever render a character who could pass for a Russian, then I'll be glad to help.

hahah Thanks! :) I'm not sure what Russian characters look like, you have me interested though. I might have to do some digging to see. :)

Thank you @barbult and @Mustakettu85, I appreciate your kind words. :) And @divamakeup thank you as well! His head hair is Aeon Soul's Short Crest hair that I got from RDNA before they moved over here and his arm/armpit hair is Real Hairy with Mec4d's unshaven2 shaders at subd 2.

Mal3Imagery - was that done with Blender again? Great scene.

With the news about SAV I wanted to dig out one of her hair I love but don't get to use much (I'm addicted to Ades)

Haven't had a lot of time the past few months, but saw Donnie the other day and bought him and made some time to do something.

Should probably do some postwork, but really couldn't be bothered, lol.

What postwork? He's really quite perfect as is!

(I bought Donnie, too. Spent way too much money, but couldn't pass up Harpsburg at $5.99, among other things.)

Thanks, but he does need some work. LOL. Though I did spend about a day and a half adjusting his skin settings and PhotoShopping the crap out of his maps. LOL.

Here's one I've been working on. I liked the idea of escaping or crawling out of the sci-fi medical bed.

    That's quite a hammock.

I second the body hair.. looks great. Its too bad that product doesn't blend well.  The cut off on the forearms is so drastic.  I've notice this in other areas as well.  Still renders great, but you get those odd dead zones with no hair where there should be some.

Thanks everyone. Yes. The challenge with hair products is getting the right look and also making guys look different from eachother. There is no way to adjust the sparsity so you can have a guy with lightly hairy arms vs. someone who has more, hmm. Suppose you could do two renders and postwork out some of the hair....

Well... there are some morphs... thats Real Hairy, right? The thickness and length morphs do actually work pretty well to give a different look. I haven't tried much with the clump of wet morphs.

yeah, I will try that. Changing the color also helps but you still have the same basic pattern.  I think you are right though about the cut off though. I do have some bodyhair brushes that I can touch up small areas. But hard to use that for bigger areas without looking too painterly.

Yeah, the patterns can be rough... like the chest is instantly identifiable as Real Hairy. As is the Treasure Trail.

Still a great, great product that I don't use as often as I should.  I hope we get one direct for G3M that maybe addresses some of these (small) issues.

I'm wondering how it would look with some of Jepe's Project 456 blended on top?

The big problem I have with real hairy is the nipples. Almost always off. :/

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,671

Some of the chest hair sold with figures on rendo seems to do a pretty good job in the nipple area. Of course I hope to see a new set for Genesis 3 men but Until then there is photoshop.

Nice image, Serene Night!  The hair issue aside, I really like the whole package!  ;)

Nice work, Butch! I'm really digging that hazy, dream-like effect. I wish the guy on the left was a bit more in focus, he looks dreamy (pun intended). :) I'd love to see him better. He looks a bit like that "french actor" rendor. Is that him?

  • ButchButch Posts: 798

Thanks @divamakeup  Yep, same character.  I'll check the original file and see if I can upload it.  I may need to make it a little less embarassing surprise

@divamakeup  As his regular singlet was hot sweaty, Jean Paul borrowed his little brothers singlet and posed for you laugh

@evilded777 - V4A4 Boxing Set by Billy-t over at Renderosity.  Seems a bit pricey now, though.

@divamakeup - If he hadn't changed, you would have been blush  - poke through was an issue lol  But, I would happily let you borrow him, if I was able to.
