It's a 42 inch Panasonic that I bought several years ago.  Actually a cheap price at the time because a few years before that I bought a 32 inch Sony for $600 on sale from $800.  (it was my first jump into the 21st century.  Got it even before I had a smart phone.)

Probably in a few years for $50 one will be able to get a wall sized mural TV that comes in a roll and you paste it onto your wall. frown  And your cereal box will have TV ads on the front to nag you at breakfast.sad

Hollywood ruins everything if you let them keep something long enough.  Star Trek: The Motion Picture.  Friends.  X Files.  Harry Potter (the last three).  Batman Begins, Returns, Runs away and hides, then tries to kill Superman.  Avatar:The Last Airbender (the movie).  Ghost Busters.  The Mask 2.  And the MCU.  And don't get me started on the lame James Bond flick with the house in the highlands.

It's the way of things.  But there are people making interesting Star Trek short stories in their kitchens with blue-screens.  More of that please!  They may not have grandiose budgets for special effects, but I think they're telling more interesting stories than Hollywood is.  I mean really, Spongebob...in a movie?

more tragic, a Hulk without the joy of SMASH

I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to come with provolone but the grill cook put white American on it.  I did not complain because I got free fries.

Yet Samsung is trying to sell a phone that costs about two thousnd dollars.  If I am going to depend two thousand dollars on one device it better have a nvidia gpu and renders smoothly.  I am refusing to spend two thousand on one phone.  Well I do think $79 for my “free” phone was too much.  Well “free” as is free service.  It is a Motorola which is apparently part of Lenovo according to the boot splash screen.  It is a Motorola e5 play I think.  Refurbished I think.

An algorithm doesn't even need to be mathematical at all.   An algorithm is a step by step method of solving a problem.     I do my main grocery shop at a company that has no shops, instead has enormous climate controlled warehouses staffed by robots and they are programmed, amongst other stuff, with algorithims the tell them what to substitute for out of stock items.

    This is an interesting description

An algorithm is a fancy to-do list for a computer. Algorithms take in zero or more inputs and give back one or more outputs. A recipe is a good example of an algorithm because it tells you what you need to do step by step.

Complaint it is dumping outside.  Non-complaint, I am inside. Complaint I am not at home and my ride home will be here soon.  Yet another complaint. I do not know where my umbrella is.

As long as it's not connected with cables to something else that's plugged into the wall - or something else that's connected to something else that's plugged in, etc. etc..

Okay good.  The storm has seemed to pass and I am back home now so I can charge up my computer for now.

...I need to pay down some past due bills. The faster computer can wait.

    Stay out of debt!

...not easy when living on a meagre fixed income and then someone hoovers an sizeable chunk out of it  making it much more difficult to get by each month (although as I mentioned the deductions were suspended while they review my case, but I still owe past utility bills that mounted up during all the months I was short funded, hopefully they will rule in my favour, and then I'll get back everything they deducted which I'll finally be able to pay those past due balances off with).

also also also also... i should have applied for more jobs this weekend but again... aggitated.

Work the 5 days on finding work, rather than the 2 days.  You'll improve your odds of success by 150% and then you can take the 2 days off with a clear conscience when nobody's gonna answer their mail anyway.

I think you misinterpretted my strategy (or I wasn't clear). I wasn't saying I didn't apply during the week or even over the weekend. Just that I should have applied to more.

What is amazing is that based on my current success rate I would have exactly the same results if I had applied to NONE.

...yeah, I hate having to out on those those days when rubbish and refuse falls from the sky. Gets really messy and stinky, as well as attracts lots of flies afterwards.

Umbrellas are pretty useless on such days and they tend to collapse under the weight of all that yucky stuff falling on them.  Best thing is to have a hard hat or some sort of helmet (but not one of those bike racing types with all the slots and holes in it).

I left my water in the kitchen.  I probably should go back to the kitchen to get it.  I doubt my fish will get it for me as they have plenty of water for themselves.

...saw a gal enter the pub I was at in platform shoes with decidedly 70s clothing.  Sadly the place didn't have a lit dance floor.

    Yeah ,really old school here.

As to concerts , saw the Moody Blues (backed by a symphony orchestra), Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer and JC Superstar (original cast) onstage in New York at the Mark Hellinger Theatre..
