    Complaint:

"Deli Sliced" Cold cuts... When I buy cold cuts at a deli or even at the grocery store, I do not request the person cutting the meat to weave it into complicated mass of overlapping meat tapestry, why must the cold cut cartels format their sliced meat products in such a manner?

Probably because most people get frustrated and instead of trying to wrestle a couple of slices from the meat puzzle, they just get fed up and slap the whole thing onto the sandwich and are done with it.

    Megh.

Speaking of Father's Day (someone was anyway) how many neckties and soaps on ropes do you own?

If you "own" more than two soaps-on-ropes, and one of them ain't in the shower, then you're not doing it right!

My dad was blue collar and never had use for neckties.  I've made up for that, however; since I have between 60 and 70 ties; some of which will be 40 years old during the next Presidential administration.  And yes, I do cull my ties and get rid of those that no longer look good, can't be dry-cleaned, or just haven't stood up to time and style.  With Covid, I work from home full time and don't wear a tie often, but I've always liked fun and stylish colors, and I like the challenge of pulling my look together with suit, shirt, tie, belt, and shoes color choices.  A hint for the gentlemen:  Cut down on the blue shirts and you'll have a lot more options!

But we bought dad the soap-on-a-rope!  I've always liked the scent, but that stuff is too expensive for anybody with the goal of having a financially independent retirement.  So for myself it's Sam's Club, BJ's Wholesale, or Costco.  Every couple/few years, I buy three or four 12-packs of Dial, Irish Spring, Lever, or something else that smells good.  With everyday showers, it takes me about 3-4 weeks to wear down a bar of soap, which I discard when it becomes a wafer so thin that it breaks or crumbles.  I always have 2 or 3 bottles of body wash around for a different scent, but I guess maybe I think of body wash as the current-day soap-on-a-rope; don't rely on it heavily, and I only buy it when Publix has BOGO deals.

I know in families with lots of humans, the body washes are nice because you never need to use somebody else's used bar of soap.  I only use the bar to get a washcloth sudsed up, and never use the bar against myself.  But then you have to have rules about washcloths, or else, yuuuccckkk!

Seriously, some humans just grab whatever's in front of them and DO NOT CONSIDER that they're grabbing somebody else's washcloth or towel.

    I have wondered this myself.

Depends on who "they" are.  For instance, the Taliban still do that.

Being flippant I could say "daughters of ambitious men".surprise   And they kept coming even after he started disposing of them.indecision

But being serious, wasn't it Mary, then Elizabeth-I?  Or was there a young James in there somewhere?    Haven't checked but I think it was first a young, frail son of one of the 8 wives, but then he quickly died and then came the Mary(Catholic) and Elizabeth(Protestant) battle royal?    Or am I way out in left field?frown  Don't ask me about British history and I'll tell you no untruths.

    Google it.

That was my job when I was a kid. You take a piece of 2X4 and a hatchet. When we had too many roosters, and when the hens stopped laing, we had chickens in the freezer ready for the frying pan.

Such is life on the farm. Dogs and cats are pets, chickens are food.

...sometimes I get a pain in the neck when their site or the forums go bonkers, but not the back (that's due to a pinched nerve which flares up now and then).

mmm, ice creme.  Picked up a bucket of my favourite, Espresso Madness at the market the other day. Coffee ice creme with flakes of coffee chocolate in it.

i'm still trying to organize my files before I reinstall Daz Studio.  Maybe I should buy a new hard drive and move my document files to the new hard drive.  Then I'll have lots of room for my runtime library on the internal drive.

..."officially" topped out at 92° (at the airport which is miles away from the centre of the city).  Felt a bit warmer here as we have lots of tall buildings and concrete. Still don't understand why they don't take the official readings where most people live and work rather than on the outskirts The only things out by the airport are aeroplanes and coyotes.

...should have been up at 02:00 east coast time.  Here on the Left Coast the changeover happens before midnight at 23:00. In some ways, glad I don't lie in Hawai'i as "Daz Time zero hour" there would be 21:00 local time.
