Those look better. Its subtle differences but I definitely like the last ones. The bits of yellower tall grass help pull it into fall as well.
Thanks! I do also just something about too much brown and the green seems to bring out the colors more of everything or it is my eyes. :)
I love the progress you've made no the horse image. That last one looked really good. I love toons and your deer image looks really good, too. :)
Thanks Knittingmommy :)
I was helping my partner with some freebie clothes he downloaded. I got them myself to help out and placed her in a pose and a scene was created. I ended up changing her clothes and few others things and came up with this.
That's nice.
Most of my renders start the same way. I see something in the forums and go to try it out and a full scene suddenly appears :)
A lot of my renders end up like that, too. Very nice image.
Thanks Fishtales and Knittingmommy. :)
Yea, funny how that happens sometimes.
I spend more time fiddling with lights than anything. I still kind of fiddling with things yet.
Nice and colourful image.
I know that feeling, half the time, I load studio with the intention to quickly test something and end up with a full story telling scene instead.
Happens to me more often than not as well. I start something simple and quick and end up with something that isn't... simple and quick lol.
Thanks Mori. :)
I did it again. Jim wanted a demin texture for a skirt, but is not sure which one he is going to use yet. LOL
Anyways, I started to work on creating the texture for the one skirt he was looking at. It does not have a demin texture.
I changed up a few things like her clothes, etc. I have 4 new textures for the coveralls. This is just one I have completely done, plus a couple of poses. I am finishing up one more render with another new coverall texture.
It rained all day today so I did a few indoor things and this.
Ok, here's the other one. Only 2 more textures to set-up and render out. :)
I got lazy and did not create any new scenes just changed some of the clothes. This is the other 2 coveralls I did plus the original set.
Great job on the textures. I particularly like the purple one but plum is like one of my favorite colors so I'm a bit biased lol.
the coveralls are adorable, great job!
@Sonja LOL Thanks! My partner likes purple also, so I kind of made that one with him in mind.
@deathbycanon Thank you :)
I thought about putting a plaid patch on one of the coverall legs. I have one more demin type texture it is a darker blue I have not used yet. Maybe I will make a more faded wore out blue one and put patches on it. :)
I started to play with making a leather texture for the boots. I am still working on that.
I am glad these things have UV maps I like working with them way better than trying to work with an existing texture map. lol
I worked on this one for the patches. I am not completely done with it. I need some better stitching I think. I have been slightly side tracked with harvesting garden stuff and preserving it. We are finally getting a frost/freeze sooo I am trying to get a few other things taken care of. :)
Other than spending too much money, especially on tutorials I think may help me. I have played with a few new toys.
In keeping things simple. I just rendered the characters with some lights. I really like Monique 8. My first gen8 character.
Great lighting!
Thanks Sonja! It is almost easier to keep it simple. lol
Oh, I like all of the textures on the overalls. I especially love that each color has its own design on the bib. Nice touch. The purple one is my favorite, too. I love purple, though, so I'm a little biased. I agree with Sonja, nice lighting on Monique. You showed her skin off very nicely.
@Knittingmommy Thanks! I got lucky on the lighting I think. lol
I am still tweaking the overalls. I am trying to learn a bit more about photoshop. I still like Gimp, because we have way more filters to create things with. I bought a bunch of blender and hexagon tutorials (on sale), plus some texturing ones. I thought I might pick up a few more ideas. I am looking at Esha's texturing tutorial, but I am still on the fence with it and that is mostly because of my lack of funds. It does look like some really good tips and tricks I don't know yet. :)
Here is Senna..Monique 7
Beautiful renders, I really like the blowing a kiss one, love the outfit and hair, great pose too.
Thanks @deathbycanon... I was thinking sort of a blowing magic dust or something...eventually might add some more.
I don't have them yet myself but I'm betting Ron's glitter brushes would work great for that although they would probably show up better on a darker background.
I just added light and rendered with no background. I wanted to see how the lighting affected the main object. I could just pull them into gimp or photoshop and add background and such. I might do that later. I have been sorting my files and doing some outdoor stuff today. :)
I got a few more outdoor things to do since the weather is nice again and no snow. We are having a really mild winter considering it got an early start on us. I got Esha's clothing texturing tutorial. It's huge and long. I wanted to take it this summer, but time and funds were short. Funds are usually always short.
I am hoping to pick up a few more tips and skills I don't already have. I think it will help in texturing in general from what I am seeing so far. I have and use both Gimp and Photoshop, so I have access to alot of different tools and such. I will probably be going back and adding to and updating some of my experiments from earlier in the thread. :)
That will be cool, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Winter is taking it's time getting where I am (Iowa). We have had a flurry or two in there air, but nothing that stuck around. It was in the 50's this weekend. Good thing too because my furnace motor went out! Luckily the husband got it fixed last night and it's back to warming the place up as we are expecting a temperature drop tonight.
@deathbycanon..You live in Iowa? I live in Minnesota (central part) so we are almost neighbors. :)
We had the same kind of weather also. Flurries here and there, but nothing that stayed around. Furnace motor going out bites. I know we replaced ours about 2 years ago because it was banging around. Lucky for us it was in the summer when it happened. Glad you got it fix though, nothing like living in the north country in the winter with no heat. Brrr.... We have been busy again. Tomorrow is winterize car day and get it new tires.
I decided to play a little with Monique 8 and one of my new freebies. I really like this scene because they have really good lights and I learned a bunch from taking a good look at them.
